This is interesting speculation, but it adds one more completely unknown variable to the Drake equation. What’s the probability that a radio-capable civilization becomes a galactic type 3 one? Looking at the only example we have, it appears very unlikely. It seems much more probable that we’ll destroy ourselves within the next centuries. |
