A sad realization I had: - Well-run companies prioritize against a bell curve of core customers vs long tail customers - Today, many of us are inside that curve. Products are made intuitive to us - But many people (elderly) are not in the middle of that bell curve And the kicker: - One day, all of us will move out of that bell curve. Therefore, many products will suddenly become maddeningly frustrating to understand, at once What's the solution? There's definitely a market opportunity for the long tail customers. But, it's tough to build a smartphone for a (relatively) smaller market. Maybe that's a startup opportunity |
