People generally have the sense that the internet is a free for all, and compensating creators is optional (i.e. I don't have to load the ads on your website if I don't want to, your ads are malware, your ads are scams, it's my eyes, etc. etc.). I'm not sure why there would be an expectation from most users that AI should compensate creators. |
