It seems clear to me from the way the article is presented that this isn't describing "what people in these roles do"; it's describing "what people with these mindsets do". A "leader" isn't someone in the C-suite; it's someone who does these things. They have a leadership mindset, and should be put into leadership roles, but very rarely are. A "manager" isn't someone with "manager" in their title; it's someone who does those things. They have a toxic "corporate management" mindset, whether they are actually in a managerial role or not. |
