Hey folks—would love some honest guidance. I’ve got ~10 years in ML/forecasting/analytics (Python, SQL, R, Java), based in my country’s finance hub, and a master’s from UC Berkeley. I would say I am proficient on following sides:
1) Coding 7/10
2) Analytics/Modelling 8/10
3) Communication 8/10 I’m torn between doubling down on modeling/analytics, moving to backend/data SWE, jumping into Gen-AI/AI engineering, or shifting into analytics consulting. Looking for maximizing career longevity—skills that age well, solid comp, and resilience across cycles. If you were me, which path would you bet on and why? |
