It's not anti-intellectualism so much as people forgetting the reason we learn in the first place. It's one of the biggest downsides of going from a world where education was largely optional to one where people are largely shoved onto a treadmill from birth to college. So many people never stop think about why we do the things that we are simply expected to do, instead of doing other things. |
