AMD's desktop CPU TDP numbers have been misleading for over a decade. I have no idea why they do it this way. Everything they list must be multiplied by about 1.35. For example, a 170W TDP CPU requires 230W of dissipation. Not 170W. AMD fans don't give a damn about that though. "It's just fine" (tm). |
