I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but unfortunately this is nothing new - pretty much every software gets rewritten all the time. They reach about 80% of the features of the obsoleted originals before they would be abandoned for something shinier. There was even some expression coined a few years ago, but the exact wording escapes me... "attention-deficit-teenager-developer-syndrome"? Something like that... |
