* MSL Lab - Run by Wang (and consisting of the llama ai team) * FAIR - Run by Yann LeCunn * Product - Run by Nat Friedman (meta.ai and the ai integration into fb/whatsapp/insta) * Infra - Run probably through facebook's CTO org Looks like Wang's remit just shrunk significantly and he isn't going to get to run all of Meta AI. Question is what he adds to the LLM training team other than knowledge of what OpenAI/Anthropic did 5 months ago, and if he gets sidelined after that. I'm assuming we'll see an announcement in a year that Wang is going to pursue other opportunities. |
