Frankly as someone who has a new M4 MBP and had a butterfly keyboard MBP, I’m glad form is following function. I don’t care if my laptop is 1 mm thicker if the performance and reliability are better.

The current MacBooks are the best they've ever made. That wasn't true of the last generation. Late 2010s models were extremely cursed.

I think the keyboards are still way worse than what they were before Butterfly. The 2010-2015 models had more travel and better feel to me.

Early 2010 models with the AMD GPU were ALL cursed.

The Nvidia ones were too. Remember the BGA issues? I remember Apple even sued Nvidia over them.

The AMDs were the 2011 BTW. The 2010 were Nvidia 320M and 330
