+1. While I haven't got any deal out of it, I do think the ads make very good cover screen. I'd prefer them much more than an empty dull cover screen.

The screens without ads are neither "empty" nor "dull". They show pictures of authors, and have since the very first Kindle.

I do agree with the parent though, ads on the screen don't bother me at all.
