It would certainly be ironic if offshoring in knowledge work is accelerating just as the consequences of offshoring in manufacturing are coming to a head (well, the social and political visibility of the consequences, anyway). Whether it's offshoring or AI-shoring, people's expectations for the long-term effects on the workforce and industry know-how sound interchangeable anyway. |
