Back in the 90's my dad and I put a more than 500k on a Volvo 740 and mostly running original parts (oil filters, brakes etc were changed throughout the decade 84/96 - Québec winters included). The car ran fine and was ultimately sold to a taxi driver that apparently brought it to close to a million (no proof though). I think now days people treat cars like phones. Minimal continual maintenance can work wonders and save you a bundle in the process. |
