Its a common issue now, search for "Jobs Copilot" or "AI Apply" and you'll see lots of results.

The problem (imo) started with companies ghosting candidates and never making an effort to reply or just having a generic rejection email. They used matching algorithms based on finding keywords in the CV.

Any job board will just redirect to an ATS (Applicant Tracking System) such as Lever and Greenhouse. These AI apply platforms are scraping these ATSs and applying on candidates' behalf.

Job boards are just distribution channels.

Yea, I end up in greenhouse/level anyway, and then I am in the same ATS as 100+ more automatic CV's, and then I get a generic rejection

Also, it feels some companies are not even hiring for those roles, so the effort of manually applying is kinda useless.

Got ghosted after the automatic (now it seems it was automatic) test assignment. I spend like half day to make a Python script, analyse the data make a report... and then crickets
