Aerial photography is also used for targeting strikes, it is de facto prohibited in Ukraine, and most hot wars.

Israel is the only one performing air strikes in Gaza surely? So that's not a rationale reason for banning aerial photography here.

The obvious one is to hide the destruction of civilian areas.
