Ask HN: Does "vide coding" for Hardware exists?
1 points by byebyetech 316 days ago
I always wanted to make cool gadgets but learning electronics

and make my own PCBs always felt daunting. Are there any

vibe coding equivalent AI tool that automatically design PCBs

based on what you want? I think it would be be great to go

from "Anyone can code" to "Anyone can make anything.

This article discusses using Atopile https://atopile.io and Claude to "vibe-code" a PCB.

NYU is doing some work around using generative AI for Verilog and VHDL rapid development, check out their faculty papers published. Apologies if this is too far from your PCB use case.
I have some analog schematics which are hard to understood, how can I feed the image with a schematic to some AI?
I dunno but "vide" -> "vibe" in your top line.
