Yup - granting power to the state -- from a democratic citizen to the state -- is risky and here it permits a corrupt anti-life (e.g. genocide) state to operate unchallenged. As it was with the USA, this is a foundational tragedy of Israel. The innate xenophobic "kill the THEM!" human quality appears to be alive and well, across the world today. |
