MS SQL Server is mainly used by corporations for corporations, so there is a market and good money for apps and expertise in those circles if you have the expertise in the MS stack. For OSS projects that require a RDBMS, PostgreSQL is a good choice. I instinctively choose it over MySQL years ago and have been pleased. |
