I don't think the price would be much a determining factor. I could very well be wrong, of course, but I'm guessing providing free LLMs wouldn't really move the needle much. And it would easily be countered by China doing the same in any case. The real issue is one of trust. The US has lost, and continues to lose, a great deal of trust and respect internationally, and China continues to look better by comparison. If your concern is countering China, then that's what has to be addressed. |
