Immersion cooling was used on the Cray-2 supercomputer with Fluorinert[1]. Water cooling is fairly common in high-end supercomputing setups (I think all the BlueGene systems are water-cooled, for example). [1] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cray-2 |
