I moved on from these fonts quite some time ago and just use https://github.com/be5invis/Iosevka everywhere. It's ideal for 'wordy' languages such as C++ where a typical line length can often go over 150 characters, and then you don't have to scroll sideways. |

Maple has many ligatures, I personally like the hypervisible [TODO]. Overall I find it very legible, even on small sizes, and pleasing also for writing e.g. in Markdown.
