Indeed, likewise Steam isn't the world on Apple platforms.

Problem are those convinced that they need Steam to play games.

So where else (besides GoG if you only care about windows and mac) you can get a game for all three PC platforms for one price?

Humble Bundle? They mostly give out Steam keys. Itch.io maybe. For the indies that are available there.

Usually I only care about a single platform. Never used Steam, and don't plan to do so.

I don't suffer from FOMO, there are enough games to chose from than available hours on a day, on each platform specific store.

FOMO? Just because I mentioned Death Stranding?

That was a ridiculously hyped launch on Apple's part, considering I had finished the game years before on console...

I'm not missing out on anything if Apple continues to bungle around.

well...Minecraft.net for one. Anything Riot puts out tends to be cross platform now-a-days. Fortnite comes from the Epic Games launcher.

The real question I guess is, why do you need to play a game on three separate boxes?

Who knows what I'll have available next year?

I don't play fresh-from-the-presses multiplayer shooters (moba, survival, battle royale, whatever the term in fashion is this week).

I only (with the exception of Minecraft below) play single player games that don't lose their appeal if they're not in fashion any more, some times years after launch.

So obviously I like to have them available on as many platforms as possible.

And if we're talking Minecraft, I do want it ready on my laptop when I have 10 minutes on the go but I also want it ready on my desktop for when I have actual gaming time.
