I don't know if it was this one but the concept sounds familiar. Looking back, games like Clash of Clans have similar mechanics, in that while you're away, someone attacks your stuff and you lose a lot of stuff, lol. I do remember it as very much a "numbers go brrt" kind of game, definitely falls under the idle games umbrella.
