I agree with you, but just wanted to mention something interesting that happened: I went from Sublime Text to VS Code, but kept Sublime Text for general text file and large csv editing. Now, with Claude Code, I basically abandoned VS Code, but my use of Sublime Text remained the same. So, in the end, at least for me, Sublime -- being light weight, simpler, faster -- was the one that persisted.
