Yep, the implied officiality of "the next evolution of SQLite" is creepy and deceptive positioning. Their "about" page explains a lot — they're disastrously top-heavy with investors and have been in a holding pattern for 3 years (according to CrunchBase), and so don't have a choice but to kill the king or die trying. |
