This is just giving normal people something nice. Everyone already has their text editor of choice. I do like the completely plain text editing of notepad but oh well. I wonder what the saved formats are though by default, rich text is annoying. |

I just tried it as I apparently have this feature on my Win11 machine, the formatting options are there in a Notepad window. After formatting some text, upon saving I was asked if I wanted to save as markdown or plain text. Naturally, it said I'd lose formatting if I chose plain text.
If I create a new file, type some text, and don't use any formatting, it doesn't give the option on save - it presumes plain text.
