I met a couple that had paid $100 to get a fake service dog certification. I guess the training is extremely hard and many people don't want to do it. I have a miniature golden doodle that I try to take to as many places as possible. But if there is a place that is strict, I end up just having to crate her. |

You would guess wrong. The couple you met just didn’t bother to spend 5min reading the ADA service dog website.
https://www.ada.gov/resources/service-animals-faqs/
> Q5. Does the ADA require service animals to be professionally trained?
>A. No. People with disabilities have the right to train the dog themselves and are not required to use a professional service dog training program.
> Q8. Do service animals have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animals?
>A. No. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness.
