Wouldn't we be just in the first phase of the long-term effects of the removal of copyright restrictions? The second phase being copyright claimed on the model itself, and its derivative works thus further expanding copyright paradoxically to things which couldn't be before the blackbox, and only allowing use by those who own the models? Initially things are always rosy, then they are reduced to make profit and create moats. |
