A simple principle that changed how I publish: "If a note can be public, it should be".

I still write blog posts, but when I realized most of my notes in Obsidian contain nothing private and could help others, I quietly started publishing them.

I don't always follow my own principle. Sometimes it's friction (moving notes from Obsidian takes time), sometimes it's insecurity (sharing incomplete knowledge feels vulnerable).

But after 25 years of learning in public, I know the benefits outweigh the risks. My best opportunities have come from this openness.
