They're going along with him because of political blackmail. Some agree with him, but some know that if they cross him, he's going to have them primaried, and his odds are good at getting rid of them. But I don't see how more Rs is going to make it less a matter of political survival to back him. He'll still have them primaried if they don't fall in line. |
