"Private"? Sorry, nothing is private in corporate environment.
This should be obvious but for some reason it's harder for people to remember this when it comes to chat vs. emails.
You have no recourse and it is a lesson in being mindful what you share in corp comms. Assume anything you share is going to be in the most public channel in the company. Consider how and what you say accordingly.

If you want something to stay private, non corp comms, and in a format that has legal consequences if shared (two party consent laws, etc).
