But we didn't suffer. We didn't write 100MB of Assembly during our lifetimes. Sure there were a few classes in CS that had a tiny bit of assembly language learning. But when I got into industry it's not like I was writing assembly for 20 years. This is industry. It moves forward into new things. There is no reason why we need everyone to re-learn things. Sure, there will be cross-over, but "suffer like we did"? They will - a lot worse. They will suffer the ticket -> release cycle sped up about 25 times faster than we did. |
