As governments frequently say: if you have nothing to hide (e.g. intent to commit a crime), then you have no need for privacy; and no need means no right. But they also say that those with something to hide have no right to privacy. Ergo, no right to privacy for anyone. In addition to that catch-22, governments fight for privacy for themselves, so they are also hypocrites. Rules for you, but not for me. |
