I think there are many examples of"establishment" wrong, and this gets exposed by independent sources. But also when the establishment is correct, it still gets (incorrectly) exposed by independent sources. There's a nontrivial part of today's population that is purely edgy and contrarian as a rule, without a solid rational foundation to their worldview. |

The attractiveness of this world view has a lot to do with the quality of the rules and the rule peddlers.
