I'm not super familiar with her, but I think I've stumbled across her a few times. My impression is that she's probably popular amongst that set because she embodies a very specific kind of fantasy of theirs (i.e. porny "liberated" girl that's "rationalist" and obsessed with quantification and "data" like they are).
