That's exactly right. The problem with the public broadcasters is not that they are regime media, it's that they are not. Put another way, the problem is that they tell the truth. Fox News, on the other hand, is very much regime media, and constantly peddles lies. Therefore, Trump is not attacking them. This particular move is part of the broader campaign to destroy the independent media, which as you pointed out, is textbook fascism. |
