Reuters reported on March 12th that "Abu Dhabi-backed investment group MGX has made a $2 billion cryptocurrency investment in Binance, the companies said on Wednesday" and "It will see MGX become a minority shareholder after making the investment in stablecoin"

Why does it matter that the investment was made in crypto/stablecoin? (Pretend the stablecoin wasn't Trump affiliated. What purpose would this serve?)
