If we had universal health care and guaranteed basic income, then I might be inclined to agree with you. Fluoride in drinking water is supposed to be a cost-effective way to prevent a lot of suffering from those who cannot afford to take care of their teeth, for example, children in poor families. I grew up in an area with fluoride in the water and most of my peers had no cavities until we had moved away and were in our late twenties. |
