Every 5 minutes is too often yes, but it hardly matters for a tiny HTTP request that barely has a body. So yes it should only be once a day (and staggered), but on the other hand it's a pretty low-priority issue in the grand scheme of things. Much more importantly, it should ask before downloading rather than auto-download. Automatic downloads are the bane of video calls... |
