I think because most of the stuff people complain about gets removed when you run one of the many debloat programs out there, ie; programs installing themselves, ads, popups asking you about things, onedrive, cortana, copilot, recall etc.. There's also the spying stuff, but I haven't really seen much actual analysis of the data being sent back to microsoft from a system not running all that bloat, so I don't know if it's really doing much. Windows itself is quite nice to use, it's very stable these days and basically every piece of software and hardware will support it well. |
