Are leet code style interviews still common for FAANG+ companies?

Specifically for mid to senior level roles, I heard these type of interviews are less common and wanted to check before spending a bunch of time grinding problemsets.

Yes. Recently interviewed for a senior developer position at a FAANG company and they had me reverse linked lists in place.

Unfortunately yes. I just spoke with a FAANG recruiter last week--it seems they feel a Software Engineer needs to study 2D Geometry to work on a LAMP stack, go figure.
