In Hebrew, Easter is called "פסחא" which is very similar to Passover, "פסח" (Just an aleph added, and the prounciation changed a bit). However, the holidays have nothing to do with each other, despite Christian attempts to link the Paschal lamb to Jesus. Nobody would say "The Jews have Easter" because we have no holiday commemerating the ressurection of a messiah. We beleive the messiah has yet to come. |
