While it sounds shockingly stupid that one party in Congress tries to censor the whole Congress it is quite restricted what it censors. The latest tariffs claim to call on IEEPA which doesn't even mention the word tariff. But it's a downhill slope from here, and the Republicans don't realize that no matter how painful (to watch from Europe) the next years will be, just like every autocrat before Trump and his cronies will fail and it will end the Republican party as well.
