The question isn't whether or not the US has the technical means sitting somewhere in a drawer to do this, the question is whether or not they have the industrial capacity and political will to do this in the time frame needed to avert losing dozens of ships and hundreds of aircraft as well as the lives of tens of thousands of soldiers. The answer to that question unfortunately appears to be 'no.' |

If there were a plan sitting in a drawer somewhere that showed the US colonizing mainland China at the cost of half a million US military personnel I'd be sure that plan accidentally leaked.
Or a fake version of it that cost 5 million and took six months
