I know for sure that we are not going to lose our jobs to it, because it still takes a lot of knowledge to check, fix, and deploy code ,and especially complex one. It also is so that it often takes a lot more time to accurately describe the problem and the solution you want to in natural language, than it takes to just write the algorithm yourself. What is very likely to happen is that there will be fewer positions since a lot of hirings only happened because there was a software hype, resulting to more programmers than really needed. It is also very likely that the wages will be decreased, since any 20yo with basic coding knowledge will offer himself to work as an vibe "coder". Corporations prefer having dysfunctional products than paying high wages, so you can guess what will happen. |
