Lead by example, and show there is much fun to be had away from phones etc. I make sure that my daughter (6) sees me writing in my notebook, reading, making things etc. More often than not, she then wants to join in. I will hold out giving her a smartphone as long as possible, and up until she has one, I will try and show her all the other fun things. |
