Yeah me too. HN tends to be quite stuck-in-the-mud heavy (e.g. the you often see this in discussions around Rust). Tbf I kind of understand his point of view - there have been many many failed attempts to fix Python tooling and it's easy to expect uv to be just another failed attempt. I think it says a lot about just how bad the situation before uv was that even HN is positive about it. |
