"Textbringer is an Emacs-like text editor written in Ruby" is maybe a clearer title than the one you've picked because the thing itself doesn't claim to be "Emacs written in Ruby". "Emacs-like" is a very broad range of possible things.

yeah, an emacs-like living machine.. i'm not sure how to edit the title now though..?

however, I couldn't say emacs nor this is merely a text editor, as it already has plugins for an e-mail and mastodon client!
