Money is orthogonal to MCP. Agent transactions with MCP servers are monetized but that isn't money, that just uses money, either fiat via budgets and apikeys or crypto via microtransactions. Money is a technology stack on its own, see eg Lyn Alden's book, and LLMs/MCP are not privileged participants in that stack. |
