When I've lived abroad everyone (Norway, Poland, Canada...) almost everyone also had lawns in the suburbs. This is not an American-only thing. Obviously the HOA resistance to anything different is bad, but less than 30% of homes in the US are in a HOA. Most homes with a yard without an HOA still have a green lawn. |
